How to delete or rearrange PDF pages
- 1.
Open the PDF
Drop the document onto the area above or choose it from your device. Its pages appear as thumbnails in their current order.
- 2.
Change the order
On a computer, drag a thumbnail to its new place. On a phone or with the keyboard, use the left and right arrows under each page.
- 3.
Delete or duplicate pages
The trash icon marks a page for deletion (you can restore it), the copy icon inserts a duplicate right after the original. You can also type positions such as “2-4, 9” and click “Delete”.
- 4.
Save and download
Click “Save PDF” and download name-organized.pdf. The original file on your disk stays unchanged.
What you can do with this PDF organizer
- Delete pages - a blank sheet at the end of a scan, a page with personal details you do not want to share, an outdated appendix.
- Reorder pages - drag a thumbnail or use the arrows; “Reverse order” fixes a stack that was scanned last page first.
- Duplicate a page - the copy appears right after the original and is labeled “copy”. Handy for forms that need several identical pages to fill in.
- Start over - “Restore original” undoes every change at once.
Changes show up immediately on the thumbnails, and the counter next to the save button tells you how many pages the new file will have, for example “Pages in result: 9 of 10”.
Deleting by position - how the numbers work
The “Delete pages (positions)” field accepts single numbers and ranges separated by commas, e.g. 1, 3-5, 12. An open range such as 8- means “from position 8 to the end”. The numbers are positions in the current list, shown in the corner of each thumbnail - not page numbers in the original file. That matters once you have moved or duplicated pages.
Example: a 10-page document where page 2 was duplicated now has 11 positions. The copy sits at position 3 and the old page 3 has moved to position 4, so typing “3” marks the copy, not the original page 3. The small number under each thumbnail always shows which original page it is.
Deleted pages do not vanish straight away - they are grayed out with a “Deleted” label and can be restored. At least one page must remain.
Example: a contract scanned in the wrong order
A sheet-fed scanner read an 8-page contract back to front, and there is a blank page at position 5. Click “Reverse order”, mark the blank page with the trash icon and save. The result has 7 pages in the right order.
If you only want to pull a few pages out into a separate file, Split PDF is quicker. Pages scanned sideways are fixed in Rotate PDF, and to organize pages from several documents, first merge them into one PDF.
Quality, privacy and limitations
Pages are copied into a new document without re-rendering, so text stays selectable and images and vector graphics keep their original quality. Everything happens locally in your browser: the file is not uploaded, and your original stays as it was because you download the result as a new file. A deleted page is removed from the output completely, which makes this a safe way to drop a page with personal data before sending a document.
Limitations: bookmarks and the document outline are not carried over to the new file, and interactive form fields may not work afterwards - the look of the pages is preserved. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs cannot be edited here; the tool shows a message, and you can remove the protection first (for example by opening the file with its password and using “Print → Save as PDF”).
